McCain says a President Obama could not protect America |
|
Actually I agree with him. After all, there's only so much one person can do. Fortunately President Obama will have some help, from:
The Joint Chiefs of Staff the Army the Navy the Air Force the Coast Guard the marines the Green Berets the Navy Seals 50 state National Guard units the National Security Agency the Federal Bureau of Investigation the Central Intelligence Agency local police and sheriff's departments local fire departments and EMTs
McCain seems to imply, does he not, that everybody not at the top, all of us ordinary working people and soldiers are useless, cannot do our jobs. Only the person at the top matters.
We certainly know that a bad person at the top can make a job more difficult. President Bush has demonstrated that, if nothing else, but many times we ordinary people can still get the job done. Many times we see people at the top who never seem to be held accountable for their mistakes. Take President Bush (please). He was in charge on September 11th and in charge during the Iraq war which was his idea and in charge during Katrina and in charge for this economic crisis. Four catastrophes during Bush's two terms. Instead of making him accountable, McCain voted with him 90% of the time. Having supported Bush through 4 disasters is somehow supposed to give McCain the experience to keep America safe - by continuing Bush policies. I expect him to lose, and I feel safer already.

2. Obama's predecessor couldn't protect America |
|
So what's McCain's beef about that? Is McCain saying that Obama's no better than Bush? I thought McCain's opinion was that Bush was our greatest president evah. Gave him a big hug and everything.
I guess if McCain was a Democrat, the media would be reporting that McCain would say anything to get elected. But since he's a Republican, I guess they'll just stick with their favorite "maverick" story. Good fall-back position.

Such as;
- The Secret Service - The United States Marshals - United States Postal Inspection Service - United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement - United States Federal Protective Service - United States Park Rangers - The State Police / State Patrols / Highway Patrol / etc etc of the 50 states.
And so on. A full list would be quite extensive.

7. I knew I was gonna miss some |
|
I am not sure I would include the Secret Service though since they are protecting American Presidents and not the whole country. I shoulda got the US Marshalls though and hypos and Park Rangers.
Hopefully I got 47 out of 74 though.

9. Right...and Senator Crash-a-few-planes-for-fun McCain |
|
knows all about winning wars...for all of the dozen hours of active combat experience he had over his long career collecting taxpayer-provided salaries and benefits.
I keep waiting for McCain to explain why he doesn't send back the money for the government health insurance HE enjoys...and has enjoyed most of his life. Especially since he wasn't qualified for the initial career he chose - he pursued it the GOP way...through connections and nepotism - not by hard work and dedication. Has this man ever worked hard?

10. McCain has delusions of grandeur, tough guy grandeur. |
|
He thinks he is Rambo, no, Rocky, that's why they play Rocky music at his rallies.
He really envisions himself as a big, macho, tough guy.
What a laugh.

13. Even Bush needed help screwing things up. |
|
He couldn't have done it without Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Powell, Rice, Tommy Franks, Brownie, Gonzales, etc... It was primarily Bush's fault cause he picked all of those nimrods, but he could not have done anything without them. Not to mention a Republican Dominated congress over 6 of his 8 years in office that cared nothing about the nation.
