Palin - third time today. More vitriolic. |
|
This woman is DANGEROUS.
Her mindless acolytes are worse.
Can we use the word NAZI yet?
She's a fucking skinhead under that rat's nest above her face.

11. I doubt she'll have a say in the matter |
|
The party will throw her under the bus, back up, and run over her again.

9. She's waking up the somnolent |
|
who were hypnotized by Saint Ronnie's perfectly polished actor's voice, trained by acting coaches and admen alike to sell snake oil to the masses and make them feel like they'd gotten a bargain.
The more that woman screeches, the more the hypnotized will awaken.

5. I swear to God we didn't know, |
|
but then again, we didn't ask McCain to pick her either. I'm sure if he had done beforehand a fraction of the research that's been done since she was selected, he never would have chosen her for a running mate, and we could have dealt with her ourselves up here. Troopergate was just coming to light at the time of her pick -- I'm sure we could have taken her down in the course of time.
This has been so embarrassing for Alaskans.

8. No wonder she is losing support there. The more anyone finds out about her... |
|
the less they like her.
Except for extremists, racists, and those who want their own little kingdoms

my condolences to you all. She really has brought shame to your state, regardless of your political affiliation.
Do you think she has a political future in Alaska? Like running for Senate?

14. I honestly don't know. |
|
At one time I imagined that she would run against Lisa Murkowski in the Republican primary in 2010. I always suspected that she was after a national office but it seemed so much more likely that she would go at it through the Senate after finishing her term as governor. I think if she had continued governing as she had been -- and assuming her various and sundry abuses had been kept under wraps -- her popularity would have remained high and she would have given Lisa a run for her money in a couple of years. --
I know people find it hard to believe, but she had really governed as a consensus-builder, drawing a lot of her support from the Democrats in the legislture, and her radical social views hadn't come into play much. A lot of people were disturbed by some of her environmental positions, wolf-killing and all that -- but the fundie religious stuff really hadn't been noticeable.
But now that she's been exposed, her popularity has taken a beating. I think it's still at 60-something, but it's dropped dramatically from her former 85% or whatever it was at the time she was picked.
She has at least three ethics complaints against her as of this moment, and I'm sure there's going to be more about the house once she comes back here, so she may spend the next two years just defending herself rather than accomplishing anything.
Like most Alaskans, I used to kind of like her on a personal level, if not political, but I'm done with that now.

It's on here, the remote is on the other side of the room, I'm just too lazy to get up, but I've been having bad dreams in which her goddamned voice plays a prominent part.
I want this rabble-rouser GONE. She makes me ashamed of my genitalia.
(Well, not really, but you know what I mean.....................)

12. One of these days, she's gonna get herself so fired up |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 03:37 PM by SoCalDem
she's going to self-combust :)
seriously though. she's only got a precious few days left to build up her street cred with "the base"...she plans to take over the republican party after they lose, and she wants their image of her to be that of the fire & brimstone preacher-esque nature that they all seem to love so much..
She more or less HAS to go back to Alaska & finsih up that governor-thing she started, and out-of-sight-out-out-of-mind, is a popularity-killer..
She's probably quite conflicted about now.. She loves the adulation, but if she quits the governorship before it naturally ends, she becomes a "quitter"...but if she goes back, people might forget about her before '12..
