Of the four, I like Biden the most.
Of the four, I like Biden the most. He is a straight shooter and competent and I hope they give him something to do other than walk around with a “I finally got my promotion” badge.

I like (liked) McCain too and if he had gone independent and had stepped away from this corrupt Republican party, I could have voted for him. But then again, Lieberman’s theft of the label, “Independent” has just about ruined that concept, too. In the end, though, McCain bowed down to power again, as did Hillary and Colin Powell, so if McCain loses, then he reaps what he sowed.

Which brings us to Obama who did not bow down but then he could afford not to since he was not a big public figure at the time. I think he will do a good job (preferred Gore, but better than Kerry) but I do not look forward to the hearing the phrase “first Black American president” for about five thousand times over the next four years. And then they will bring up Tiger Woods and the Williams sisters and “first black this” and “first black” that to ad nausea. At least afterwards we can think of black people as regular people and we can finally ALL get over that crap. He has run a good campaign and has handled the "black man" part perfectly but I still think that he should be about 20 points ahead and I tire of the cautious approach that all Democrats have. Can we convince him/them to give Secretary of State to Wes Clark and Senate leader to Hillary? That should be the first thing that they do – and then maybe get a token white guy to lead the House.

Then there is Palin, by far the worst - I do not look forward to hearing from/about her in the future but she is a darling of the backwoods part of the Republican party and so she will be a fixture for some time. Let’s hope that she does not smarten up so that we can continue to laugh at her because right now, that is the only thing I can do with her (you know.. I laugh so that I don’t cry).

Which brings me to things that should still be talked about at this stage of the election … like closing Camp Iraq, global climate change, alternatives to oil, killing Bin Laden and re-distributing the economic pain so that those that caused the current mess can feel it the most.

Go Obama in 2008 ! (but he needs to get busy on Day One)

1. Senate leader
The President doesn't "give" Senate leader to anyone. The majority party leader has a majority leader, chosen by that party in the Senate.

4. i know
i know - i should have put "give" in quotes. But i think that would be a good role for her. i think she has earned it and as much as i like Harry as a person, he has never kicked ass and someone needed to. Hillary would do just that.

8. Although I wasn't a Hillary supporter in the primaries, I think she would make an excellent
Senate Majority Leader. She has the wherewithal, the strength and the connections in the Senate AND she gets along well with Obama.

I mean, she's campaigned more for him after the primaries than all Democrats combined and raised over $8 million dollars for him. I've also noticed that they share a deep warmth and respect for one another whenever they're together. My love for Hillary has been restored.

She's also Scorpio {grin} and apparently Obama gets along well with them (Biden, his grandmother "Toot" - both Scorps).

I think Hillary has earned the position of Senate Majority Leader and I would really like to see Senator Reid removed. He "palled around" too much with those obnoxious, filibustering Republicans and allowed 104 filibusters by them in the past 2 years.

3. Get Up
I agree that Biden is the perfect choice to clean out Cheney's office and sweep it good to restore democracy to our vice president.

9. John McCain is a vile little fuckwad and he always was
I can't believe that anyone with a scintilla of functioning brain power would have ever thought he was some honorable straight talker. And much as I like Biden, he really is gaffe prone. Fortunately that won't matter much when he's VP.
