I just voted for Obama in Columbus, Ohio!!
I don't know about the rest of the state, but they are TURNING OUT for Obama here in Columbus. There were literally thousands there and it's apparently been that way every day since early voting started.

It was an amazing experience, I do not exaggerate. We stood in line for roughly five hours and it was like a party; we met new friends, met a couple of local folks running for House reps, ate some fried chicken that the woman in line had brought with her in a big pot, and talked about our hopes for change and how optimistic we all felt finally seeing all these Obama supporters turning out (I kid you not, we saw no more than 2 or 3 obvious McCain supporters the entire time).

There was a sense of community I hadn't felt since...well, since EVER.

My wife even got interviewed by some Japanese TV folks there covering the early voters (she was plenty excited and is wondering how long it will be before she's offered a TV show of her own in Japan).

I'm sorry, I'm rambling...but I just feel great and I wanted to share.

Just a few more days left until we can stop hoping and start realizing our future.

Have a good day everyone!

5. That sounds very much
like my experience voting early in Columbus 2 weeks ago, except our wait was only an hour and 15 minutes. But it was obvious that the VAST majority of folks in the line were there to vote for Obama, and happy to be standing in line to do so!

And for those in the Columbus area, don't forget - Barack and Michelle will be speaking on the Ohio Statehouse lawn at 1:00 pm tomorrow (Sunday). I can't wait!
