VJ has been like that for years, a complete Christian Fundie nut, without a sane thought in her head. It's about as well documented as anything can be.

Some of you may remember a short-lived show that the guy behind The West Wing had on TV last year, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. The show portrayed was pretty much SNL in disguise, and he had a character that I am convinced was meant to be a parody of VJ. Not nearly as dumb, but similar.
