My final Senate prediction: Post your own.
Edited on Sun Nov-02-08 07:31 AM by cali
C0- Mark Udall
NM- Tom Udall
NH- Jeanne Shaheen
AK- Mark Begich
MN- Norm Coleman
GA- Saxby Chambliss
NC- Kay Hagan
KY- Mitch McConnell
OR- Jeff Merkely
VA- Mark Warner

So I see the dems picking up 7 seats which would give them a total of 58 if you include Liebertoad and Bernie- and really, I don't think Liebertoad should be counted.

I think Franken takes MN

And, McConnell loses KY to Lunsford
Plus in Martin GA for 60, sans Traitor joe.

3. You're absolutely right.
I'll edit. And I hope you're right about Franken.

2. I think if polls show Franken within 3, he takes it by 2 on Obama's coattails. Also,
I know about the anger with Lieberman. (VERY disappointing with him endorsing McLAME, and hopefully he'll pay the price next time around at the polls IF the CT. R's put up a real candidate so that he doesn't win so many of them in the general.) However, looking at his overall voting record he votes far more often on most issues with the Dems than the R's. I think he needs to remain in the Dem caucus, and we can count on his support on many issues, especially on fiscal and social issues where he is far more moderate than he is with his warhawk foreign policy which is why he went with McSAME.

4. It will be interesting to see what Lieberman does after this election
if he turns around from being a GOP boot licker to trying to kiss up the Dems...he will make himself look more like a political opportunist.

and the worst part....he turned the the GOP when they were basically at their lowest point in history...what a strategy...

I can picture the ads that a smart dem can run against him when and if he runs again...this type of political flip floppery doesn't help...

7. I'm going to be optimistic about Obama's long coattails..
