I chased away some redneck boys who came to our polling place to start mischief

Greetings,

I just wanted to tell you all how great I feel after being a line manager for Obama today.

I was placed in a predominantly African-American neighborhood with Venusrising, and we saw fairly low turnout at the polls (because everyone had already early voted). this is Columbus, OH.

Anyways, about 3:30PM, a group of four pickup trucks with some frat-boy types pulled into the entrance of the polling place, blocking it off. They got out of their trucks and were yapping with each other...seemingly setting up camp. I told my wife I was going to investigate because the entrance to the parking lot was actually at the front of the building, but the polling place was behind the building.

I walked right up to the bastards with dark shades with a firm scowl on my face.....in a way, I guess I looked like a G-man....a G-man who meant business and wasn't going to take shit. They took one look at me approaching, jumped into their trucks, turned around, and peeled out, sheepishly avoiding eye contact with me.

THIS is why I volunteered...I wanted to be front and center if there was funny business, and I got a little taste of it. It felt GREAT. No one is going to intimidate voters or try to block them from voting on my watch.

I of course called the incident in to my staging area. I didn't want them to show up at another polling place. Still kicking myself in the butt for not taking license plates, though. I just didn't think about it.

I have done my little teeny part, though. Gobama!!!

5. I'm actually not very intimidating normally.

Average height, average build. But I have a scowl that I call my "New York" face that I developed when I lived in New York and didn't want to be approached by handbillers, etc. It's a fairly scary face that I've used a couple of times to great effectiveness.

But the boys were cowards...they were looking for no resistance. If a scowl chases them off, that is all the better.
