1. If he had spoken like this, and shut down the boo-ers, during the campaign, he'd be giving a victory
speech right about now.

He knows when his campaign did to Obama, but he realizes that it can't stay that way.

6. This is the Republicans party fault
He probably should have been chosen instead of Bush. However McCain played ball with Bush, so he now goes down. Almost sad but then I remember how much pain this country has been going through.

Edited on Tue Nov-04-08 11:26 PM by bhbwl
Wait till he's brought before the People to account for his war crimes and the crimes of his party.

Screw him. He needs to be ground into a paste to serve as an example for others.

16. McCain is no more responsible than a panoply of Democrats.
Give him a break; he's finally reverted to being an honest man.

regardless of party.

(I hope we as a nation do go through the necessary process to deal with the crimes committed in our name... but I know it is not just republicans)

40. First things first...
As long as there is one person who thinks it's okay to be a Repuke or to think like one, the job isn't done.

They only understand one thing. We need to "Joe The Plumber" every single repuke. EVERY one. They can't stand the light of day. Make an example of enough of them, and the rest will toe the line. In no time at all it will be unthinkable to be a repuke or even admit having ever been one.

Maybe THEN we can start on the less-than-fully-committed members of the Party. But until then...

NO QUARTER.

15. This is a critical first step in cleaning it up
political campaigns have been compared to civil wars where a bullet is not fired.... and this is the kind of reconciliation that you need at the end

The loosing general needs to do this... as a critical first step

That said, that will not stop some of his followers... remain alert

33. I concur..
At this point we need to ALL be gracious winners.

Our goal needs to be to heal the divisions in the nation. Remember, Obama's core message is that we're not a Republican/Democratic America but a ONE America.

and a few "gentle" words after he LOST...no..got WHIPPED, does not make up for all the evil things his campaign promoted and wrapped themselves in..

Grampa needs to go back to DC and snuggle up to his two BFFs on a bench in a closet somewhere in the bowels of the senate...never to be heard from again..
