if i understand neocons at all, i would say they won't sit around and do nothing for the next two months.

1. Not me. THey cashed in, there is little left to steal.
Now they hand off a broken country to THe Democrats, and blame them in 4 years. They are ready to take a vacation.

3. Some of the sneaky stunts won't be apparent for a long time ...

... after the Obama Admin takes office. These BushCo assholes excel at being devious if nothing else.

4. They will keep looting, for sure. I hope Obama's team will evaluate all of those
no-bid contracts. *shaking head*

As for making more military overtures anywhere else, I gotta say "With what army?" Other than the bomb, we got nothing left.

6. If they try goihng too far in the next two months...
They will end up in a world of hurt. There are still good professional career people at all levels of this government who will act.

12. Good point
You may have career people in different departments who have been keeping quiet with their heads down in fear of retribution from Bushes people. Now that they see Bush is not going to be followed by another Republican they may be more willing to speak out and due what they can to blunt any changes the neo-cons try to make.

Their party is dead.

9. yes
Hi Gary - for the first time in weeks, perhaps months, I think I actually slept better than in recent times. The work we all did last night tracking the EP data was based on our all understanding the risk that yet another election would be stolen, but when that work was done, and Barack had prevailed, I felt like we faced a new day - a new world.

But with that relief comes anticipation and concerns about the damage these bastards can still do between now and January.

13. Not too worried.
I suspect Obama's team has sent signals to the Bush administration that it would not be in their best interests to make things any more difficult for the new President than they already are. At least I hope they've done that.

14. They're done.
The end-all is money, and they've sucked on to every last bit they could.

16. Oh yes, they'll keep trying up to the last day - watch for the pardons.
They tried to privatize Social Security, but that didn't go anywhere. Did that stop them?

I'm sure somewhere there's a whiteboard with all kinds of "action items" on it...

In fact, considering what I'm used to seeing these guys do, I outright EXPECT some dire, urgent, "crisis" to come our way...
