About Binka: Does Anyone Here Have Personal Contact With DUer Binka?

How is she? We know Ben has already gone back to Iraq, and that Binka came to the states.

She hasn't posted for a while and I'm wondering if anyone might have an update. I sent a PM to her on March 2, but no response.

I'm a bit concerned, so any hint of how things are would be appreciated.

She has left Italy. Things were not too happy there.

I'm doing okay. I got scoped, and they found that the ulcer not helping with my iron level had healed up, so that's good news, but now we think that I have mono. Yet another blood draw . . . *sigh* Hubby and I have decided to talk with my doctor about still getting check-ups and all just in case the tumor really was a version of that rare cancer that it looked like (the specialist was "fairly certain" it wasn't, but there have been so few cases that it makes sense to play it safe), so I'm looking at another CT in a month or so.

I can't believe Ben is being sent back. That's awful! I didn't think they would do that to him, considering how bad his injuries were. I'll finish a couple of other things this week that have to get out and then get crackin' on his socks. I'm almost done with the first one, so it's not like I'm all that far from done. I'm so worried for him.

25. I heard from Binka on March 20

She is fine, she and Peyton are doing okay. She asked me to thank all of the DUers concerned about her. She also asks for your prayers as they are going through some hard times. Ben ships out in three weeks which adds to the stress. She will come back to DU when she is better able to cope. In the mean time let us all keep her and her family in our thoughts.
