9. I'd have sworn the checks came from an undisclosed location.
It could be Cindy McCain, but I'm guessing someone more closely associated with funding the American Enterprise Institute.

Being from Wisconsin I'd guess a member of the Bradley Family. They are the ones who underwrote the Project for the New American Century. A hallmark of their activities is placing idiot puppets into high government positions.

Can we investigate THEM (and the Bush mis-administration) for their RECKLESS spending over the past 8 years (especially in Iraq)?

4. She bought her 7 year old a $1500 Louis Vuitton bag.
There was a photo of her with it. Who in their right mind would buy their kid a Louis Vuitton? Can you imagine the uproar if Michelle Obama bought Sasha a designer bag?

23. The bag that Piper was carrying is a fake.
It is a copy of a bag that sells for $790 at LouisVuitton.com. The authentic version is called Montorgueil PM.

The bag also looks older, which makes me think that it is Sarah Palin's fake bag.

31. I doubt that. I believe the child was probably just holding
the bag for her mom, while Palin shook hands and gave speeches. Still, she shouldn't have bought herself a Gucci bag (at $800. I believe, not $1500) with other people's money and without their express permission to do so.

It would give the wrong message to Sasha and as a good mother, she wouldn't want that for her daughter.

5. Predictions:
1. The "poor" never get Sarah Palin's clothes.
2. Bristol and her baby's father don't get married.
3. New Governor scandal rocks Palin's Administration in Alaska.
4. Income tax problems for Palins.

Bonus Points:

5. Bristol pregnancy was made up.

7. There is a deeper story here.
If you piece together the little snippets of information concerning "money" and "stuff" in association with Palin, you will see a pattern. The per diem charges for staying in her own home, charging the state of Alaska for plane tickets, hotel rooms, and meals for her children at events at which they were not invited, questions about the Palins' tax returns, and now this all dovetail into a portrait of a woman and a family that are indeed grifters and cheats.

The utter chutzpah of this shopping spree is really rather startling. The extravagant choices are startling. This is the truth, people who are millionaires do not spend money like this. They will most certainly purchase the finest quality, but much of what we are hearing about is simply gratuitous buying for the sake of buying stuff. Much of it doesn't make sense unless it was for the purpose of greedily grabbing while the grabbing was good.

21. good point. Real millionaires are rather frugal.
At least, the ones I know. That's how a lot of them became millionaires. It's the pseudo-rich, with debt up to their eyeballs, who buy the Rolexes.

35. I've said the same thing. Palin is a crook - worse than Ted Stevens.
She's highly corrupt and I suspect that she will be taken down by others in her own party who want her out of her way. I anticipate jail time in her future.

KO showed quotes from her spokesperson's response. She/he said it was all false and the campaign people who used credit cards were reimbursed. That's a major contradiction right there.

She bought way more than they assumed.

Palin is a dangerous pathological liar. That rally with the clueless one from The View is even more ridiculous given the new revelations.
