You have to give conservatives credit...they aren't QUITTERS!
Just got an email from some guy I have never heard of that says that Bush just had 500 tons of yellowcake uranium shipped to Canada. According to the email, the uranium was PROOF that Saddam had been trying to restart his nuclear program. In the middle of the email is says in bold, underlined, oversized letters: This has been proven true, check with Snopes.com. The email also blasted the MSM for not covering this fascinating and explosive story. He also felt that this showed that Bush really is a man of character.

Unfortunately, when you actually check with Snopes, it says the email is FALSE. That the uranium is a leftover from a pre-first Gulf war nuclear program and that it had been sealed and documented by UN inspectors. Saddam had it the whole time and never touched it because he was complying with the UN sanctions and the first Gulf War agreements he made.

I replied using Reply All to the something like fifty people that this moran had sent his 'discovery' to with the following:
"Dude, if you are going to send an email that has 'check Snopes' in it, you have to take into consideration the fact that somebody might actually check Snopes.

Snopes says this email is FALSE. The uranium shipped to Canada had been stored in sealed containers and documented by UN inspectors since the time of the FIRST Gulf War. That would be in 1991. It was left over from pre-first Gulf War efforts to create a nuclear weapon. Saddam had it the whole time and never touched it because he was complying with UN sanctions and Gulf war agreements. You twit, this actually makes Hussein LOOK GOOD.

This is the sort of email that makes the rest of us think that conservatives rode to school on the short bus."

God, that was fun.

3. I got a fun one this morning too.
My wingnut dad wrote to let me know that "Osama-Obama" won the presidency by telling the most vicious lies, and he wonders how Bush would even speak to him after that! And apparently the lies were all started by young, ignorant bloggers--the latest scape goat to help them explain the results of the election. And here I thought it was the Liberal Media all this time! He says this country is doomed because of what the Democrats have done and will do in the future, etc.

What a weird, alternate universe they live in! I don't answer those emails at all; it just encourages him.

8. They aren't quitters
And they've never allowed things like facts and reality get in the way of a soothing (to them) story. Their major problem right now is that fewer and fewer people are being stampeded by their "all fear, all the time" alarmist nonsense. Why, one day soon, you may actually be able to board a commercial airline flight without 75% disrobing and assuming the four basic yoga poses.
