1. Forgive me, but lefties say the media is right wing, and the righties say the media is left wing.
I see the media as one big-ass plucked chicken, extra crispy on the outside, and limp on the inside.

They tend to migrate to where the most sensationalizing articles are; those bring in the most viewers. Least Common Denominator fluff for the fickle and feeble.

3. But, I didn't say the media was any wing.
I said it was controlled by the GOP, who, as Bill Moyers says, equates "liberalism" with "tough journalism,"
If reporting on what's happening to ordinary people thrown overboard by circumstances beyond their control and betrayed by Washington officials is liberalism, I stand convicted.

It is an old canard of right-wing ideologues like Tomlinson to equate tough journalism with liberalism. They hope to distract people from the message by trying to discredit the messenger.

--"Former Now host on media bias and his feud with former CPB Chairman Ken Tomlinson," Broadcasting & Cable

From that same article,
Bill Moyers became the central figure in absentia in the controversy surrounding former Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) Chairman Kenneth Tomlinson. It was Tomlinson who pointed to Moyers' Now newscast on PBS as a chief reason for his efforts to bring “balance” to public broadcasting by adding conservative shows.

For more about Tomlinson (for those who might not know, or have forgotten:

and

As far as where the media migrates, I have to agree that the mass media (TV and national newspapers and magazines, like The US Today and The Time) do tend toward the sensational. But, not all media fall for that, like The Nation, Mother Jones and most everything on PBS.

2. They say "center-right."
Just paving the way for their return. Yes, you can't kill a zombie and those zombies will return after the Dems fix things.

10. What they mean by "center right" isn't necessarily what other people mean by "center right"
"While Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader are depicted on the extreme left in an American context, they would simply be mainstream social democrats within the wider political landscape of Europe. Similarly, Obama is popularly perceived as a leftist in the United States while elsewhere in the west his record is that of a moderate conservative."

I did a thread of this yesterday and out of the blue comes this member with charts and maps and graphs showing we are a right of center country. Bullshit and propaganda from within our house.

13. Someone needs to ask the media why they are obsessed
with the philosophies of a small, rural-based, regional political party which has, by it's own behavior, reduced itself to a collection of Moonies, Mormons, televangelista dominionists, and would-be world conqueror neo-cons.

The only people who identify with the Right are those whose lives are guided by fear and easily molded by deception.

16. Wrong!
"The only people who identify with the Right are those whose lives are guided by fear and easily molded by deception."

Your statement is only true for those that make less than $90,000 a year! For everybody else it's just plain, shameless greed.
