Rolling back Son of *'s executive orders..... |
|
I read this and heard another story about in on NPR.... well part of it... as i went into a tunnel. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/us_elections_2008/7718949.stmSo I went to the site where one can see most or all of these orders.... Of course I haven't read even nearly half of them BUT I'm thinking that it would be a good idea to send messages our Congress people and new President as to which ones the people see as "must go right away" http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/orders/

1. Methinks Obama Is Way Ahead On This... |
|
He's been quietly assembling his team for the better part of a year and I had read that he already had his legal team looking through all the executive and signing orders and had already stated some that would be removed. One, ironically, is one of asshat's first...affecting foreign aid to countries that offered contraception. I don't recall the others, but I'm sure his team is doing an exhaustive investigation.
Your point about letting Congressman know about these statements is a very good one...and that all should click your link and browse that list. I imagine right now, President Obama is playing it cool...not to ruffle feathers in the transition and be able to come on strong from Day One. Some of those orders may help him or be needed in restoring some sanity to the government, but in time, many of these abuses of power need to be rolled back and then a debate on making future orders accountable in some fashion.
Cheers...
