This photo symbolizes everything about The Right and The Left
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 04:31 PM by lunatica
The duality we all must face within ourselves as we meet it outside outselves. The Shadow government and the Open government. Good and Evil on so many levels. The light of reason and the darkness of ignorance. The light of hope and the darkness of hate. The duality of opposites.

8. It's even symbolic of the racial history of the US and how it's evolved to this peak moment
Edited on Wed Nov-12-08 05:34 PM by lunatica
The darkness of the white race with it's oppression and cruelty towards the black race yet the moment is caught of the first black man overtaking the legacy of the white man and moving forward into the light. There are just so many contrasts in this photograph! From abstract symbolism of mankind's consciousness coming out of the shadows of the past and evolving into the light of the future to catching the historic moment of a paradigm leap of consciuousness.

9. Wow, I have a new background for my laptop.
I've seen some beautiful "sunset" pictures in my life, but this one beats them all!!

Or should that be "It's always darkest before the dawn?"

Great capture!
