2. Thank you. By the way, sorry about Young. But when he's
indicted maybe he'll have the decency to resign.

Yeah right.

3. I do think Don's days are numbered, despite these results.

I don't believe Ethan Berkowitz connected so well in the Bush, where Don Young has often been perceived as a friend of the Natives. Ethan's primary opponent, Diane Benson, an Alaska Native herself, did much better in the rural areas and the bases in August, but Ethan won the primary, taking the majority of the urban votes. It seems like in the general there were enough urban Republicans and rural supporters to keep Don safe for now. If he's indicted/convicted in the next couple of years, which is a distinct possibility, then we'll have another opportunity.

5. Me either,
Voting my conscience, I wrote in Diane. I've come to know her well having volunteered for her since summer 2006, and for me there was no other choice. Things happened during the primary campaign that left me much less than impressed with Ethan, and I just couldn't vote for him.

There appear to have been only 721 write-in votes, at this point anyway, so I don't feel like I "stole" anything from him. Maybe next time the DLC/Rahm Emanuel types will stay out of our candidate selection process.

6. I've Had It Open All Day But It Hasn't Budged An Inch!
Guess they only do nightly updates after the counting is done rather than real time updates?
