Excellent LTTE from a former SP supporter in Alaska.

I used to like and respect Sarah. Not any more.

It's not Troopergate. If her family was threatened, I admire her for trying to protect them. And I don't care how many clothes the McCain campaign gave her.

My disillusionment began while watching the Republican convention, when she mocked Obama and the crowd jeered.

It grew as she incited lynch mob mentality across the nation.

Yes, governor, the media did take some cheap shots at you. But Obama never did.

Yet you repeatedly attacked his character. You called him a socialist and insinuated terrorist connections.

You said scornfully that you didn't need to listen to a "Chicago politician," insinuating corruption. You referred to his associates as "cronies."

Now you say politics is rough and tumble, that we should "get over it." I guess rough and tumble is synonymous with fighting dirty.

I used to love you because I thought you were above politics as usual.

I loved it during the gubernatorial debates when you told your arguing opponents that Alaskans deserved better.

This time around, America deserved better.

So now Rush Limbaugh loves you. One of the most hateful, bigoted hypocrites in America, who just called our new president a "Chicago thug."

I thought you were better. Apparently I was wrong. You tell me to get over it? I think I'm over you.

2. Sarah Palin should get over herself
"Pride goeth before a fall" - she's headed for a crash, imo. More Alaskans need to speak out and let her know how they feel once she gets home. to the writer.

4. I am a Liberal and I feel very much the same
Although I never "Loved" her I did like her and liked how she governed during the first year she was in Office. She did indeed have over an eighty percent approval from Alaskans and most of those were Democrats. I also did not care about Troopergate for the same reasons this person stated. She changed my opinion of her and I can't wait to vote against her in 2010....

8. I agree with you, WinterBlues.
I didn't vote for her, but I had been pleasantly surprised by the bipartisan way that she worked with the legislature and how she was moving forward with projects that are important to Alaskans. I appreciated that she didn't bring her right-wing views into her position as governor, that she had made no moves to outlaw abortion, and that she didn't fight the Supreme Court's opinion on same-sex benefits to state workers. It just seemed like she was doing a really fine job, and she was such an improvement over Frank the Bank.

I couldn't even believe it when I watched her at the convention. It seemed so obvious that she had been programmed, that Rove, et al., were calling the shots. I hoped that after the convention was over that she would get back to being the Sarah we thought we knew -- but she only got worse.

I seriously wonder if she's suffered some kind of breakdown, or if she was playing us all along in an effort to forward her political ambitions. It's really hard to tell.

6. K&R....this is spot on....she thought some hits from the media
gave her permission to go after Obama in such a dirty and mean way.

Well, that's an intellectual lightweight for ya!

7. i really hope
that he cc'd the governor's office - great letter. he didn't even bring up how many lies she told on the campaign trail, or how stupid she is, or anything. the beauty of it is there's not one charge leveled in this letter that she can rebut.
