Janet Napolitano appointment NOT the result of some "deal" with McCain

Some people here have speculated that JN's appointment was the result of some post-election meeting with McCain. I can tell you this is NOT the case, and it is just the sort of rumor that diminishes Obama's presidency before he even gets the chance to start.

I first heard this rumor about JN two weeks prior to the election. Unfortunately, I only posted it on November 6, when I got nervous about seeing the snowballing number of posts behind the AG rumor, which was totally unfounded.

I never posted a rumor before I posted this one, but in my mind it was fairly well substantiated, and the reaction to the JN as AG seemed to be getting totally carried away. I was worried people would get their hopes up for an appointment that would not happen.

I don't understand why there is not more trust for Barack Obama here. Can we please, please allow him to at least take office before we begin to deconstruct, pre-destruct and destroy his presidency???

... might be a good way to get another Dem in the Senate (if Napolitano would name a Dem to replace him), and then be able to say FU to Lieberschnitzel, if all of the remaining Senate races play out in our favor...
