For GOP, as one fight ends, another begins

Sen. Sam Brownback

Lean to the left

Lean to the right

Stand up! Sit down!

Fight! Fight! Fight!

— High school football cheer
The decades-old chant echoes from the grandstand as the Republican Party — tired, grass-stained — leaves the field after a serious Democratic shellacking.

Their worst loss in a generation has left the GOP scrambling: What do we stand for? How can we communicate better? Do we still have the country’s support?

Do we lean to the left or right? Stand up or sit down?

First, though, let’s fight, fight, fight.

Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker: “Armband religion is killing the Republican Party. … The GOP has surrendered its high ground to the lowest brows.”

Conservative Michelle Malkin, on her blog, referring to Parker: “Don’t feed the troll.”

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich, to reporters in Indiana: “The Republican Party’s struggling to get beyond incompetence.”

It’s enough to prompt some conservatives to contemplate jumping from a window.

“We probably wouldn’t die,” a Republican Senate aide sighed to Politico. “We’d just lie there, hurt and suffering, which is not too much different from where we are now.”

1. I'm trying to figure out why your image doesn't show up...
When I go to the web page, right click and cut and paste the properties, I get this...

It shows up immediately. Your image does not at all and this has been happening with other posts from time to time. Can you tell me what you did to include that image in your post, so that I (and others similarly affected) might figure out what the problem might be.

Thanks

7. Well that's strange. It shows up now... I'm assuming that
you did nothing other than delete the image, go back and do the properties drill to repost?

Seems no matter what internet firewall security package I use, I come across this from time to time and it is frustrating, as it takes months (if ever) to solve it...Norton used to be the worst...

4. The GOP thinks they can change lipstick shade and all will be well?
The change must come from another direction....like tossing out their greed mentality and the Lie Cheat Steal Mode they use at elections...

They need to get past High School Level.....

5. They're dealing with the brain frozen in time. The 1950s
Just before all that civil rights crap happened. Some are worse though. They're dealing with the New Deal. That kind of shock is hard to get over.

They haven't come a long way babe...

6. “We’d just lie there, hurt and suffering,
Now if that isn't an indictment of the GOP I don't know what is.. Of course they would just lie there suffering because no Republican will lift a finger to help the needy..

9. Remember these words - "We, the People...." and they'd have the GOP
back on a track to power, but they won't. They want to slice and dice, turning fear and loathing against some other, any other - so that we're all busy and distracted with that BS while they sell us out to their corporate masters.

They do have a message, one that benefits their CEO base and not too many others. Only the dumbest of the sheep keep buying in.
