He has been pissed about the Military Detainee Act too.

That's the biggest threat.
He'll not only have to be clean (the vetting will be awesome), he'll likely not be in the mood to go down in flames. You get a clean guy and what's he going to do? Roll over and play dirty for * when everybody is watching? I seriously doubt it.
This IS the Trojan Horse of the * administration.
