2. people have paid down some credit card debt and may go a bit nutty
I find it hard to believe so many materialistic, greedy assholes could change their natures that quickly

3. I've heard that some people have had their cards cancelled.
That could cut down on some purchases.

4. Judging from my Ebay sales...
...where in previous years business started to become brisk in October, now people have put off buying until just in the last week or so. But now they're starting to catch up. It's that last-minute frenzy kicking in. It's nowhere near as busy as it was last year at this time, and I don't think sales will be as good, but it won't be a total bust. As long as I can still afford pet food, I'm good.

7. Couldn't tell you, really.
Ebay PowerSeller is a pretty isolated job description. :) I can only compare to previous years. I thought last year's holiday shopping season was slow; well, this year is worse - but as I said, not a total bust. Not even remotely similar to years past, though, when it was fairly easy to make a living on Ebay. These days I'm putting in a lot more time and effort just to get by.
