Rival groups. RIVAL GROUPS? F'ing gangbangers shoot up
Toys R Us and they are called RIVAL GROUPS? At least it looks like they offed each other.

Authorities: Two handguns found near bodies of victims in Toy R Us shooting

Riverside County sheriff's investigators have recovered two handguns "in close proximity of the deceased" men, according to a sheriff's spokesman. The two men were killed in what might have been a clash between rival groups late this morning inside a crowded Toys R Us in Palm Desert, officials say. Police say the area is safe and they are letting shoppers leave the scene at 72-314 Highway 111 after an hours-long lockdown.

Rival groups of what? What are they afraid to say?

11. Any citizen can sue for defamation
but particularly if they are labeled as a gang member and are not. If they had used the word "alleged" it would likely have been ok to use "gang member".

15. It's also a catch-all dismissal phrase for black violence.
Shooting at a white high school? Well, that's a national tragedy. A watershed moment for an entire generation. Months of news.

Shooting at a black high school? Oh, that's just gang members. 30 second blurb on the evening news.

4. Probably Gangs
These Gangs have been allowed for the last 8 years to grow and committ crimes against the citizens of this country. The government has spent more money on the phoney war against drugs then trying to destroy these gangs. The local police departments can only do so much with the revolving door in the prison systems.

What's the answer? I don't know, but I do know we can't let this keep happening.

6. They shit all over Bill Clinton for funding midnight basketball programs
There was a general hue and cry about how the Federal Gubment was wasting our money bu coddling kids when the parents should be taking care of them and we should be cracking down on drug dealers. Nevermind that the crime rate in those neighborhoods went down by some outrageous number like 90% when the kids were provided something to do.

Of course, try and explain to conservatives and even many liberals taht an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and they'll look at you like you just claimed that Ben Franklin was really Batman.

12. LOL, I get the joke.
But the idea behind what I was saying -- if we give kids something semi-productive to do with adult supervision, they wouldn't need to join gangs in the first place. Or take drugs, or just get into trouble, or whatever...

It's virtually unheard of to see an adult criminal who doesn't have some kind of juvenile record. If we can cure the disease in its early stages, we won't have to worry so much about two assholes shooting at each other in a toy store.

And if you want a REALLY funny joke, ask me what the difference between a liar and a lawyer is...

5. This just happened. it would be irresponsible for the police to divulge
too much detail. the facts may not be entirely clear yet, and an investigation is surely going 24/7.
