The Massachusetts Health Plan
I am doing some research that includes examining the Massachusetts Health Plan. Does anyone know where I can find information regarding the Massachusetts Health Plan. I am mainly looking to find information about the subsidy levels of the plan and enrollment issues. I would really like it if someone could tell me where to go to get the write up of the law itself.

3. Otherwise known as the Romneycare Health Insurance Scam
Not affordable. The Blue Cross/Blue Shield CEO just skipped town with a $16 million golden parachute and $3 million a year in salary for as long as he lives (not doing anything to earn it.

The plan wants to take 22% of my part time take home pay. They can take their annual fine, $912 this year) and shove it where the sun don't shine.

This piece of crap was thrown together by Romney as just something to fling around during his failed prez campaign. It is garbage.

6. what that 912 MA. income tax fine would pay about one month's premimums.
Plus, no regulatory oversight of insurance fraud and scams.. A Romney plan, who'd expect more. Californians be on the Look out, Arni wants to do that to you...

4. Oregon has a similar plan
We have the Oregon Health Plan, which is the Medicaid version but is more managed so that more people can be covered. Or that was the plan originally.

We also have a subsidized version for working income people, where you can choose from several insurance companies and up to 95% of the premium is subsidied. That's great unless you have a pre-existing condition and then you go into the Insurance Pool, which is like $1,000 a month for a couple. The subsidy helps tremendously, but that's still an insane amount to pay for insurance and you still have your co-pays, and many prescriptions are $40, and the 20%. So people still end up with bills they can't pay. But it's most certainly way way way better than nothing.

5. I talked to a woman whose husband is an insurance broker in Massachusetts.
She told me it was great at first - affordable and covered nearly everything. Now this family of an insurance broker can no longer afford to buy what they sell and are on the hook for a state fine.
