If you're gonna carry them
know how to use them! "The other man pulled a gun and pointed it at the first man but forgot to cock it" Well, that didn't work very good because all they ended up doing was croaking each other. Gun guys should love this story, Fatal shooting followed toy store brawl http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jMJP9ep_VABDoexPPDXfIDbnJL6gD94OI4FG0

Shoot outs in the streets, bring the old west back, Whooo Hooo! If every shopper had a gun then one of two things might have happened, they would have gotten the toy they wanted or they would have gotten deaded. "One woman suddenly started punching the other woman, who fought back as blood flowed from her nose" OK, OK, gun guys it wasn't really about a toy. It was a better reason, cutting in line. "Witnesses Scott and Joan Barrick said they were checking out of the store when the brawl began between two women, each with a man. The women were near the checkout area, but the Barricks did not think the women had purchases."

Merry Christmas! "two men pulled guns and killed each other after the women with them erupted into a bloody brawl, witnesses said." My favorite quote in the story, Palm Desert Councilman Jim Ferguson, "I think the obvious question everyone has is who takes loaded weapons into a Toys "R" Us?" he said. "I doubt it was the casual holiday shopper." Well Jim the non-casual shopper and people with carry permits shop at Toys-R-Us, why they need a gun is obvious, to either get the last toy or protect their place in line.

1. I'm inclined to regret the two women weren't armed...
Seems like a four-way solution might have been the result.... :sarcasm:

8. Actually it's only speculation as yet that it was gang related.
It could just as easily have been a personal grudge between two couples that escalated.

And I don't think that you need any medical care after you've been shot dead.

10. Please show me
where it says these guys had CCW permits. I'd guess that one or both of them had prior felonies that prohibited them from even owning firearms legally.

15. I didn't say
they had carry permits. I said, "if that "gang scum" has a clean record there are people here that will defend their right to carry guns while toy shopping."

Let me ask you, does a carry permit application have a mechanism in place to keep people who are very, very angry and stressed from getting a gun? What about a "rookie" gang member with no record? I didn't call anyone "gang scum", that was a quote from another poster. I haven't labeled these individuals at all, just two guys with guns and angry wives. Could have been anyone.

18. The thing is
people that commit these kinds of gun crimes don't go through the trouble of getting a CCW permit. When I got mine I had to pay $60 for the all day class, $100 to the state and $25 to the sheriff dept. and then wait three months. Many states have had CCW permits for years and in that time gun crimes committed by those with permits has been almost non-existent.

16. you can bet if they all had guns
they would have gotten the toy they wanted, maybe even a better parking place. Guns open a lot of doors.

17. I think it's terrific when gun-owners weed out and remove one another from the general population.
It makes the world safer for the rest of us.

21. It's all the fault of Toys R Us , where was the security, how did these guns
get into the store? Innocent kids could've been killed. Toys R Us should be sued because these kids could be traumatized for life.Other stores have metal detectors why didn't they? This is outrageous!

22. Anyone checked with the NRA yet?
"Guns don't kill people. People wanting Nintendo Wii at deeply discounted prices kill people."

Don't be surprised when the NRA starts their Really Big Excuse Machine.
