Why is it that recessions have a nasty habit of timing themselves to embarrass the GOP? |

Anybody ever wonder that?
9 of the 11 post-World-War-II recessions have occurred during Republican administrations.
Republican economists always tell us that recessions are part of the economic cycle and are inevitable....
I guess it is just a coincidence that they seem to always occur when the Republicans are in charge. :sarcasm:

leaders. In fact, I have a nagging suspicion that they actually prosper amazingly right before those mean ole depressions. Funny thing is, in the UK right now, NuLab(c)'s finest seem to be living high on the hog.
Apparently, there's a marked reluctance among our whole polity, all effectively of a right-wing right wing, to have their expenses scrutinised. Who'd ever a thunk!
