Kansas City Star puts the Obama birth certificate crap on today's front page
It's that Gotcha Liberal Media, I tell ya!
http://www.kansascity.com/637/story/919601.html

By RICK MONTGOMERY
The Kansas City Star

In the outer cosmos of the blogosphere, the presidential election isn’t over.

Barack Obama, now busily forming his administration, isn’t just the wrong person to lead the nation, claim Web sites such as America Must Know and Right Side News.

He is, they contend, constitutionally ineligible to be president.

... Justice Clarence Thomas distributed to his colleagues a request that the high court weigh in before the Electoral College makes Obama’s victory official later this month. The justices may decide in a Friday conference whether to hear or cast away a lawsuit dismissed in a lower court and appealed by a retired New Jersey lawyer named Leo C. Donofrio, who also has his own Web site.

And here's a link to an image of the front page: http://www.newseum.org/todaysfrontpages/hr.asp?fpVname=mo_kcs

1. That's fine, as they are telling the truth about the story
That it is just a bunch of pissant whining by the fringe of the fringe.

3. Pissant....very apropos
since someone with that screenname is leading the constant parade of birth certificate stories over at freeperland.

I think it's good that the media is exposing this story. I hope they will continue to expose the marginal creeps who keep pushing it. Anyone with half a brain in his/her head can look at the document from Hawaii and see that it's legitimate.

2. And of course it's not as though
there's any evidence (like maybe a birth certificate) that he was born anywhere else.

A few days ago in a similar discussion on a different site, someone posted this link http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/born_in_the_usa.html
which among other things, includes the birth announcement that appeared in the Honolulu paper shortly after he was born.

If anything, McCain's legal right to become president should have been in greater doubt, as Panama was never anything more than a territory, but that was rarely brought up. And he was legally a born citizen also.

6. That's the funniest stuff of all.
The court cases are full of demands for disproof of their suppositions. There is not a single piece of evidence in any of the filings that President-elect Obama was born anywhere but Hawaii. Just "could have beens" and "might have beens."

Buncha morons.

18. As Richard Hand (of Bob Jones University) opined:
"That's a universal negative. Can you prove that?" (when asked to rebut denials made by the McCain campaign about his supposedly illegitimate daughter during the 2000 GOP primary)

The burden of proof needs to be on the whackos to come up with some airtight evidence that Obama isn't qualified to be POTUS or they should just shut up and move on with their lives. I can't believe that there are still people out there pushing this crazy nonsense.

22. The wacko nutcases
don't believe in proof. They think that their blind suppositions must be disproved, and simply don't understand the concept. There is nothing that Obama could do that would not be discounted by these morons. They'll just say that the certificate "could have been forged, so Obama isn't qualified." They demand that proof be offered that there was no forgery.

As I said, buncha morons, all.

25. Nah...it's just a toothless dog...
barking and trying to make you afraid. The wacko nutcases will continue to rant about something or another. Since the COLB is out there, photographed in three dimensions, they're just baying at the moon.

When a toothless dog menaces you, the thing to do is pat it gently on the head and give it a dog biscuit to gum.

Buncha morons.

I know all babies born on US military bases by American parents are automatically America citizens but I did not know Panama was ever a US Territory.

The rest of Panama wasn't, isn't. My post was not careful or concise about that. Thanks for the clarification.

4. If there was no other reason to vote for Obama this year, the prospect
of McCain appointing Supreme Court Justices like Thomas is enough. Thank you, GWH Bush, for Clarence Thomas, the gift that keeps on giving.

17. Would be nice if somebody "investigated" Thomas's mental fitness to be on the Supreme Court.
He has said he doesn't know why anybody wants the job, because "you can't make any money" at it -- obviously he has no clue as to the great honor and great responsibility bestowed on a Supreme Court appointee.

Since he doesn't want to be there, I wish he would just resign (and go out into the world and seek his fortune) and leave the position open for a competent person to be appointed.

8. AOL -- that dispassionate, objective, corporate news source -- had a story
on this yesterday.

Somebody took out a paid-for ad/"news" piece in the Chicago Tribune.

They might succeed in shaking some coconuts down out of a few Right Wing trees -- town hall, newsmax, fr -- but I don't think it's going to turn into a mass downhill stampede, with mobs in the streets clamoring for Joe Biden.

So if it's not President Obama, it would be President Hillary. Either way, nothing is going to come of this except a lot of RW idiots being ripped off.

assertion, "BlackAgendaReport" said,

"...Thomas is often described as a "complicated" personality, but that's just a euphemism for a crazy self-loathing that he projects on the rest of Black America. Dirt-poor Pin Point, Georgia, the peers of his youth who called him "America's Blackest Child," and an overbearing grandfather who wanted more than young Clarence was willing to give, made Thomas useful to no one but Black people's most implacable foes, for whom he has become a deranged pit bull. Viewers of 60 Minutes were permitted to learn none of that, as CBS circled its protective wagons around the Most Despised Black Man in Black America..."

These are stupid people and it won't matter that they have no evidence to prove or disprove anything. And it won't matter or how many courts laugh at them and throw them out. They will keep spouting this BS for the next 8 years and beyond. It's now officially a right wing legend.

I took a little peek at those nutjobs today and there are some now posting that they have been taken advantage of by the "lawyers" going after the BC conspiracy b/c they have been asked for so many donations to fund this sham.

I hadn't even thought of that angle until I read those posts. These "morans" have been duped into sending thousands and thousands of dollars to these con artists....

I mean the WSJ, Rush, Sean, O'Reilly and Glenn Beck won't even touch this ridiculousness.

Just clueless..........:dunce:
