OJ Minimum of 6 years in county/state prison |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-05-08 01:21 PM by underpants
EDIT-I mixed up concurrent and consecutive. So it will be 6 years.
I couldn't keep track of the maximum
The first count was 12 months in county. The rest were in state. I think that is right-two of the counts (#'s 7 & 8) were to be consecutive meaning that they will be served at the same time
He is currently 61 years old.

Her sucking on the Slurpee straw was a bit undignified. A glass of water might have looked better.
I've never seen a judge do that, but, hey, it's Nevada.
OJ's in prison until he's 70 years old - at least.

When did that happen?
I think actually it (shipping her Big Gulp)showed that this judge wasn't playing to the cameras.

27. She did something that struck me as odd, |
|
but then, anything involving OJ Simpson is going to be odd, I believe.
She made a great point of stating that her sentencing today had absolutely nothing to do with his previous trial, where he was acquitted. I never heard of anything like that before, but, as I said, OJ is strange.
She's a smart judge, tough, too.

Those poor people have been through hell. At least seeing his constant smirk replaced, even momentarily, with disappointment and fear should give them a small (very small) bit of comfort.

nine years before he's even eligible for parole.
He got off lucky.
He'll be 70 years old before he's up for parole.
His personal statement was offensive on so many levels. The weasel wouldn't take the stand during his trial, where he'd have been subject to cross-examination, but he tried to testify about what a great guy he was in his statement. Weasel. Coward. Scum.
Good judge, good sentence.
