It's turning into one big conspiracy to keep Obama's REAL birth certificate under wraps |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 03:49 PM by ck4829
Barack Obama, his family, the government of Hawaii, the Democratic Party, all those judges, the space aliens who fly the black helicopters, etc.; they're all in on it, aren't they?
Do right wingers ever think this stuff through?

According to them, you need to be born to two US citizen parents.

5. The whole issue is moot |
|
The people have spoken. 64 million (or whatever) Americans voted for him. It wouldn't matter at this point if he was born in Kenya or Indonesia or Mars. The constitution would be amended before his election was taken away. mccain was given a bye after being born in Panama. The same would be true for Obama, even if he wasn't born in Hawaii.

15. I really don't care about where he was born, but I do need to point out a fact. |

John McCain was born at Coco Solo Naval Air Station, which was a US naval base. At the time, the base was US territory, making him eligible to become president.

16. I believe the rule is being born on "native" soil |
|
The fact that mccain was born on a base in a 'foreign' country is a stretch of the rule. Would we then be able to use Puerto Rico? Or how about countries we used to control (say Vietnam) but now do not?

25. Actually the Constitution doesn't use that phrase. |
|
It never says "native" soil. It says "natural born." As far as I know, no court decision has ever officially defined that to mean geography.

He was born in a hospital in Colon Panama. The city is at the Eastern end of the Panama Canal, but it was just outside the Canal Zone which was leased by the US at the time. So McCain was actually born on foreign soil. Of course his parents were both US citizens so Grandpa's citizenship isn't in dispute, but his "natural bornness" definitely is.

9. Commander aWol Bush is a Nutmegger |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 04:06 PM by SpiralHawk
Born in Connecticut with a silver spoon under his nose, and 'developed' in 'elite' New England prep schools as a back bench cheerleader.
But he loves to pretend he's a wildcat Texas cowboy and oil man, and the corporate bended-knee media sucks up to him and plays along as if it was the truth.
But the Republicon Homelanders love them their wide-stance, chickenhawk, dope-snarfing, chickenhawk phonies, because these characters (Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, etc. ad nauseum) remind them of their own pitiful lives. And thus -- absolutely undeserving and unearned and anti-Constitutional -- Commander aWol was appointed pResident...
None of this has any bearing on Obama and his legitimate popular mandate, of course, but republicons need to be reminded of the pathetic, sniveling, diaper-clad, wide-stance HYPOCRISY often.

I've also read that he's had plenty of time to manufacture a new long form of his birth certificate, so they probably wouldn't believe that one either. They are so desperate it's pathetic.

The certificate of birth and a link to the August 13, 1961 Honolulu newspaper birth announcement on "Fightthesmears.com" do not satisfy these crazies. In perusing a few wingnut sites, they now want the hospital record of President-Elect Obama's birth. They claim no "hospital records" exist. The freepers as still stomping their feet since they are sore losers. The "threaten" to sue every time President Obama signs a bill or changes policy. Hopefully the Supreme Court puts a definite end to this nonsense once and for all.

I'll confess, finally! I'M THE ONE HIDING OBAMA'S REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE. The others couldn't really be trusted once the campaign got going in full swing, so I've got it here in the western heartland. I confess, it's in my false drawer under the kitchen cabinet, right next to my photo of Elvis that was autographed ten years ago by the King Himself (yes, Virginia, he IS still alive!)
Note to lurking freepers with two brain cells: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
For those of you freeps with one or less brain cells-well, you're hopeless anyway, so there's no point.

27. Bushie Followers don't think, they regugrigitate. |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 11:32 PM by tom_paine
What do you think the Bushies have been up to these past 30 years? Basically the same thing Hitler was up to 1924-1933, which is growing an army of Not-Sees who will be slavishly devoted to them and cannot think for themselves for their minds have atrophied from not having to actually think about anything for a long time.
Due to their propaganda efforts, and in no small part due to the Democratic Party's love of denial of the obvious and cowardly fear (with a small amount of notable exceptions), they have raised the level of Nazi-types, which I call Not-Sees (thanks to Stephen King for the term), to nearing now 40%of America.
Can a nation long survive free with such a huge number of unthinking, unquestioning, obedient drones with little to no critical thinking capacuity? It is the reverse of Jefferson's Dream of a fully informed and educated electorate.
Since the Bushies hate America and all it stands for, freedom and open discourse, among them, one would expect them to act in 100% diametric opposition tothe beliefs of the Founding Fathers.
This they have done.
