8. The corpoRATe m$m will keep this out of the "news" cycle |
|
Pretty much like they did with the 45th anniversary of JFK's death.
It would be best for them, if people forgot.

12. A lot of the people on this board weren't even alive |
|
when Lennon was killed, or were too young to remember him.
As for me, I remember hearing about it on the radio, and then staying up the rest of the night recording the local radio station's impromptu tribute to Lennon and the Beatles.

5. I was only 10 years old when it happened. I'm sure I was home in my pajamas, |
|
probably in bed. I'm trying to remember if I have a distinct memory (you'd think something as significant as that would cause me to remember). I think I may have heard and was wandering around the living room afterwards, but I was in fifth grade, so I can't really remember.
I really got into the Beatles when I was in high school; I felt the impact much more then and still do.

11. Howard Cosell told me... |
|
A junior in college. One sad time. I'll never forget the moment. Something funny, though. A few years prior on Monday Night Football, both Ronald Reagan and John Lennon were in the booth chatting up a storm. Just before putting them on camera, Howard said to Frank Gifford, " you take Reagan, I'll take the Beatle". George Vescey(NY Times).
