1. It's Getting Ugly Out There... |
|
I scanned past Lou Doobies...first time in months...and saw a story of a family in Ohio (why is it always Ohio??) who lost her 17-year job a couple weeks ago, her husband lost his before that...they and their kids moved in with her mother and now mom's home is facing foreclosure...supposedly they'll be evicted within the week. It just makes you shake...and I doubt Lou will do a follow up...just find another poor soul to parade. But this mess is getting real personal now...people are starting to hurt and a rage is building.
I'm real tempted to take a ride to Republic windows today...bring some sandwiches and see what else they need. It's time for this fleecing to stop.
BTW...another great call is the one who said the Big Three made no mention of bringing jobs back here...it's all about saving their butts first and the workers last...and screw the unions.

What's sad is that they waited until they are losing everything. It was clear that Bush was destroying the country for a very long time.

Until a year ago, people were still making money and lots of it...that made a lot of people either stupid or blind to the fleecing and games going on, if it's making money, just don't bitch. It was clear that this country was running on funny money and numbers for a long time, but as long as the market stayed at 13,500 and kept going up, who could say this was happening?
Hell, I saw companies detach real earnings for manufactured ones...making their money off their stock prices, not the assets of their properties or the quality of their product. The push was to keep the stock price high...come out with a big estimated earnings or announce some massive expansion (with the borrowing to match)...or lay off err should I say "consolidate" operations and the price would go up more. It was a deck of cards that lasted for a long time, but it was due to crumble and now we're seeing the real affects of "market economics" trickling down on all of us.
It amazed me when Congress passed that abhorant bankruptcy bill that all but legalized and encouraged predatory lending. Who in their right mind would be able to afford double and tripling of mortgages or interest payments and not go bust? It was incredibly short sighted and we're paying for it now...with still no end in sight.
Yep...boooshie is oblivious...shit happens ya know...but maybe, just maybe all the anger building out there will create a demand to bring this shitstain criminal and his enterprise to real justice.

Damn I've had too much coffee already. LOL

4. People have all heard the songs.. |
|
All those lyrics came from REALITY... "...Those were the days, my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we'd choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way..."

Love that song as well. Funny how everything leftists were warning about for nearly eight years were the truth. For years DUers were presenting clear evidence that the economy was going to crash. Bush, his goons and the hacks on M$Greedia tried to hide the truth but those who read and think knew the truth. I sat my siblings down two years ago and told them to stop spending, tear up those credit cards and prepare for the worst.

What I do notice is that as the depression deepens, the loonies are being outnumbered by rational callers.

10. But until they do lose everything the nit wits will stand behind their party cheering them on |
|
to get rid of the free loaders out of the system. Remember these are the same people that think they pulled themselves up by their own boot straps, are the only hard workers and regardless of how many co-workers around them get layed off they won't get layed off besides if they do they always will be able to survive because they made plans for the future, so they can get by until the new job starts.
Luck was something they made for themselves so they will never experience joblessness. It's amusing to see just how deep nit wits thinking is, they will never get sick, never have an accident and most importantly they won't age until they are ready to retire on the sun warmed beaches of some far off land, like Arizona or Florida, where they spend their golden years playing golf.
Whats even weirder is every plan they say they have is based on todays market prices, without a thought about how prices change day to day as well as the value of their dollar going down, if they do think about the dollar falling, they buy gold because everyone knows gold never decreases in value.
They often brag about their big homes, cars and toys yet when others have lost everything it was because of them over extending their credit, the nit wit claims they bought it all with cash. Joe the plumber is a prime example of the nit wit, he has very little he owns, survives day by day, yet because he works hard when he does work, in the near future he will be a big shot mover and shaker.
The nit wit has a very bad habit of finding others to look down on so the nit wit doesn't really have to look at the reality of their lives because at least they aren't doing as bad as the person they see as a loser. Look around at the people on DU, time after time those who are doing ok right now aren't lording that over those who aren't, they realize that they could be facing those same problems in the near future.

8. I believe that Ohio is generally right of center most of the time ... |
|
historically it's been voting for Repugs, going Ohio only in the most blatant of landslides ... and then (of many recent elections) by small margins ...

6. It's a paradigm shift of great proportion. They will have to come up with |
|
a new name for what has happened in our country. Bush has done os many criminal things and made so many criminal agreements that have led to this disaster. It's so obvious. :dem:
