Fitz has made it clear why this came out now. |
|
It's a crime in progress. He said it would have taken till April to get this done using SOP. Unfortunately, this crime was in progress and the damage would have been bad, so they moved. I congratulate him for having the wisdom and fortitude to make this move.

11. Thought so to, but when one looks at how damned effective he is in case work... |
|
he would not be able to do that at the AG's desk.
And not being the AG, he is available as a special prosecutor

to see who would try to buy the seat and what they might have offered, I believe moving now was the best option.

so he did this one right, but refusing to bring charges against rove erases any integrity he might have had

26. but that shows he HAS intregrity... |
|
If a prosecutor has witnesses lying to him and he doesn't feel confident that the other evidence is enough for a conviction, then he must drop the charges if he wants to keep his integrity.
Saying that you don't need to worry about things like evidence and procedure because the accused is just so evil (Rove) is the exact same mentality as Rove and Cheney. "These people want to give rights to terrorists!"
It's not what you know, it's what you can prove to a judge, and you don't get any second chances.

24. It is not a factor in this |
|
Blago was just using BoA as a prop to hide behind.
Republic Windows and BoA are a separate issue and stands alone on its own merits.

23. Its a reminder that there is good honest people doing government work |
|
and as government officials. I have faith in that we will pull out of this re:puke: induced mess we're in a much stronger nation. PE Obama is not going to let us down. I'm sure there will be some things that any one of us might not agree with him on but the overall will be we will be very happy with this man as our President. And if anyone isn't then I would be inclined to wonder where that persons loyalty lies.

I hope it's a non-issue. I know this has been in the works for awhile, but I think it's important to ask these questions and be sure. Are there any other examples of state or national politicians who've said, "Stop doing business with the bank?" Maybe I'm just to young to remember, but it seemed pretty unprecedented to me. Eerie timing indeed...I'm not a huge Blago fan or anything, but what about Eliot Spitzer? He was challenging BoA too.

That is a sure road to disaster.
If this is true Fitzgerald did a great job as far as I am concerned.
