Newt's 15 minutes ended. Why is he still here? |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-09-08 03:54 PM by Cyrano
Gingrich is like dog doo on your shoe. He just won't go away.
He's actually "putting out feelers" about running for prez in -- 2012?, -- 2016? Who knows?
This miserable specimen of humanity still appears on pundit shows, writes op-ed articles, and gets coverage even on progressive blogs. Why??? Why in the world is this man still showing his face in public?
Does this incredible cretin really think he could be elected (outside of Alabama or Mississippi)? Why does anyone but the Heritage Foundation take him seriously?
Is there any way to make this stench go away?

2. I think Newt is hanging around because he took a look at his |
|
potential GOP competition and knows he would probably beat them all (Palin, Jindal, Huckabee, Pawlenty, etc.). He may run in 2012 - Gingrich/Bush :eyes:.

4. Offhand, I think that "Joe the Plumber" could get more votes than Newt. |

Then again, no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the wingnut voter. (With apologies to H.L. Mencken for paraphrasing his words.)

Sorry, Newt. You've got one hell of a mountain to climb to make that case.

I live in Ga. and believe me, he's still a popular guy in the Pub party. I don't agree with him on ANYTHING, but even I have to admit he talks a very good story.

I have to admit that his bullshit very often "sounds" great. About five minutes later, what he said hits you and you find yourself with your head over the toilet bowl.
Part of what makes him "sound" reasonable is that he stays up on technology and throws in just enough 21st-century-speak to make himself sound erudite.
Unfortunately for him, most who would be stupid enough to cast a vote for him have no idea what he's talking about.
