Blagojevich: Victim of illegal wiretapping?
I was just wondering if anyone knows or believes if the Blagojevich investigation resulted from the illegal Bush/NSA wiretapping program or if it was his boldness and greed that caused an investigation to be initiated?

2. Fitz got a warrant. A legal warrant
Remember this investigation has been going on for three years. Fitz had some pretty damning evidence with which he obtained a legal piece of paper to wiretap Blago.

wiretap. The OP bloviates so much he should go read Fitz's statement (probably on You Tube) right now and the actual 73 page Indictment to enlighten his mind. But, nooooo! The OP would rather have folks here think he has "insider info" and he's the only one posting his skepticism.

4. No... he's been under investigation for 5 yrs. Fitz had warrant...
This was apparently "by the books," as I would expect with Fitzgerald.

5. Is DU turning against St. Patrick Fitzgerald?
I'm beginning to wonder.

I guess Fitzgerald is a saint only when he goes after corrupt Republicans...not corrupt Democrats.

12. The conspiracy theorist impulse around DU can't seem to turn off even when the story is
as straightforward story of corruption as is the life and times of Gov Blago.

14. No, corrupt is corrupt.
I wish he had gotten Cheney but I think the willingness of people to lie for Cheney stopped him.

Plus Cheney learned a few things by watching what happened with Nixon and with Iran/Contra.

But I do think you probably should have actually read about the case before posting.

But I was in the wrong and I apologize.

19. Thank you for answering my question. But,
the attack wasn't necessary.

A) This is my first post on the subject of Blagojevich so "continuing to post about it nonetheless" doesn't apply to my post.

B) I didn't know the wiretap was authorized.

C) My post was an attempt to educate myself about the case, rather than me refusing to educate myself.

D) There is volumes of posts discussing Democrats being the target of illegal NSA wiretapping by a hostile rethug administration.

E) Why do you have to be an asshole about it?
