Senate Candidate 5 is Jesse Jackson Jr.
His own representative has confirmed it, though it is the representatives judgement that Jackson had nothing to do with anything illegal and he is not a target of the investigation. Per CNN.

1. if some thief offers to sell you a watch
from the trunk of his car and you walk away, how could you be blamed for that?

2. The tapes seem to indicate Blago thought there was an offer
for "the watch".

3. from who is the question
it does seem the "deputy" conspired on tape with him, but the others do not seem to have actually accepted any offers or demands so far as i have heard at any rate.

4. If the watch is a Rolex and you pay $25, you could be charged with...
possession of stolen property. It all goes to whether the surrounding circumstances led you to believe the property was stolen or at least not the rightful property of the person from whom you are buying it.

No relation to this case. I'm just saying.

5. "you walk away" is the key in my example
so far only one person AFAIK has been on tape agreeing to or trying to exchange anything with this turd. If you walk away (not BUYING and then going away, but simply walking away from the offer) how could you be charged with anything honestly?

6. It could all come down to who turned him in
Rumors swirl around Emmanuel and Rezko as the source. If Jackson was offered a deal why wouldn't he have turned him in, even if he did turn him down? That will be what people will want to know.

8. Turning him down doesn't preclude a future opportunity...turning him in would.
I'm not sure I trust Jackson...never did trust his old man.

9. This is going to feed the GOPers for months if not years.

The GOP-controlled media will leak this thing out for as long as they can.

A name today, a tease tomorrow, and on and on.

I'm starting to wonder if someone isn't playing Fitz.
