MSNBC has just declared that
Edited on Thu Dec-11-08 11:37 AM by Texas Explorer
the question of Obama's "involvement" with the Blago scandal "is not going to go away any time soon".

Displaying chyron: "PE Obama endorsed Blago in 2006, despite rumors of illegal acts". They've had it up for several minutes now.

Fuck them.

1. Obama said he is positive no talk of deals went on
and that he would share the talks that DID occur in the next couple of days...but this is not soon enough for Mark Whitaker, because Obama said they were still "gathering facts"...so this MUST mean they are still not sure! And that this story is not going away!

instead of trying to go on a fishing expedition, or worse, intentionally trying to weigh down the Obama Administration with yellow journalism.

12. Sick of the Media
not quoting sources and making blanket and hyper statements. The Republicans will do everything they can to take the Illinois seat, make sure Obama gets smeared and looses public trust or doesn't even get into office. He better watch his back big time. I am sick of the Republicans not working for the people to solve issues but instead grabbing every opportunity to "win" at any cost. I am sick over the crisis we face and their indifference to the Environment and hand outs to their wealthy buddies. They search for "minority" candidates now and take the American public for stupid. I am sick that Bush is not in prison.

4. CNN and the whole MSM are doing the same thing, even though they know Obama
had nothing to do with this

Compare that to what the MSM has done the last 8 years, and it is imperative that the communications act of the nineties be reversed

13. By that logic...
Someone on the Stephanie Miller show just said that Sarah Palin should resign because of her relationship with Ted Stevens. I wonder if any of the MSM will pick up on that idea? Not holding my breath.

Translation for those of you not quite clued in: "In spite of the lack of any evidence, we intend to keep puffing this story because reporting on anything else is sooooo boring or soooo depressing."

Who's that Tom Tomorrow kid? Boy detective Encyclopedia Brown or something? Has the nebbish "liberal" assistant named Moonbat? This has all the earmarks of a case for the boy detective!

16. Charlie Gibson ABC.... paraphrasing.. who on Obama's staff told Blago there was no deal and why
hasn't that person been named. Why has it gone on so long? Gibson then says, I guess they want to get their ducks in a row.

Corporate Media are poisoning the people's minds with inuendo.

17. oh god, we don't even know for sure that
someone on the Obama team TOLD them that there was no deal. The gov could have just gotten the impression from the advisor's tone, or that the advisor never brought something up. Or the fact that the Obama team was generally staying away from the gov with a TEN FOOT POLE! These talking heads are not too bright.

23. Didn't Rahm tell the Feds about this? That is public knowledge. He was most likely
the one approached and the FBI wanted more "meat" before busting Blago.

27. I don't know
I think the Rahm stuff was confirmed to be just a rumor, and Obama said that neither he, nor anyone on his team, has been contacted or interviewed by the feds.

19. Sigh.
I realize there is never going to be a time when I'm not pissed off at the media. This is just the beginning. It's going to be a long 4-8 years.

Even if there isn't anything of substance on Obama, they will try & they will make a big stink about every little thing. And when it's proven that what they were stinking about is nothing, they will go on to the next manufactured stink, without any acknowledgment about what shits they are & their role in creating the stink. :grr: :grr: :grr:

What was done to Clinton was nothing less than a witch hunt & the media cheered it on.

21. ratings whores
they know it's nothing

britney got her act together so they gotta drum up drama

how sad. we need to get our fourth estate together. if these guys want to be entertainment shows, fine - but we need a real fourth estate whose job it is to inform the people, not to get ratings.

what about the serious issues going on that they are not even reporting on? Lemming losers.
