The next group or fad will be the "thrift zealots" an outcrop of the economy. These will
be compose of former living beyond their paycheck and credit card ability survivors. As with all new zealots they will be annoying and full of tidbits of ways to save, save, save.

I can see a comeback for Martha on how to make bologna out of leftovers, etc.

Some will offer very good tips but will be drowned out by the more newly minted zealots.

This economic depression is going to boring.

5. i ignore them now and I'll ignore them then.
I never even knew who rachel ray was until she had apparently been on tv for a while. I'd be just as happy if I had never found out.

one of the best ways to save money is to stop listening to assholes on tv.

7. You know what I hope happens?
That the value of the dollar goes down to absolutely nothing and then everybody will be equal. Even those with their "nest eggs" and their "rainy day savings". It would all be worthless. That'd level the playing field, huh?

9. No. It would make owners of property have wealth and everyone else have nothing.

10. I'm a thrift zealot no matter what the economy is doing.

I found if I call shopping "giving my money to other people," it's easier to not do it.

11. I might just become one.
Living beyond my credit cards certainly described me. If nothing else, I've learned how to never make those mistakes again. I won't be proseletyzing to others, but I could see myself becoming a bit of a "thrift zealot" in my own life.

The general consensus at my abode is that my thriftiness sucks and the crew is threatening mutiny.
