Food as a weapon

…There are only two possible ways in which a world of 10 billion people can be averted. Either the current birth rates must come down more quickly. Or the current death rates must go up. There is no other way. There are, of course, many ways in which the death rates can go up.

Kissinger’s 1974 Plan for Food Control Genocide

by Joseph Brewda
Dec. 8, 1995

On Dec. 10, 1974, the U.S. National Security Council under Henry Kissinger completed a classified 200-page study, “National Security Study Memorandum 200: Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for U.S. Security and Overseas Interests.” The study falsely claimed that population growth in the so-called Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) was a grave threat to U.S. national security. Adopted as official policy in November 1975 by President Gerald Ford, NSSM 200 outlined a covert plan to reduce population growth in those countries through birth control, and also, implicitly, war and famine. Brent Scowcroft, who had by then replaced Kissinger as national security adviser (the same post Scowcroft was to hold in the Bush administration), was put in charge of implementing the plan. CIA Director George Bush was ordered to assist Scowcroft, as were the secretaries of state, treasury, defense, and agriculture.

The bogus arguments that Kissinger advanced were not original. One of his major sources was the Royal Commission on Population, which King George VI had created in 1944 “to consider what measures should be taken in the national interest to influence the future trend of population.” The commission found that Britain was gravely threatened by population growth in its colonies, since “a populous country has decided advantages over a sparsely-populated one for industrial production.” The combined effects of increasing population and industrialization in its colonies, it warned, “might be decisive in its effects on the prestige and influence of the West,” especially effecting “military strength and security.”

Food as a weapon

There were several measures that Kissinger advocated to deal with this alleged threat, most prominently, birth control and related population-reduction programs. He also warned that “population growth rates are likely to increase appreciably before they begin to decline,” even if such measures were adopted.

A second measure was curtailing food supplies to targeted states, in part to force compliance with birth control policies: “There is also some established precedent for taking account of family planning performance in appraisal of assistance requirements by AID and consultative groups. Since population growth is a major determinant of increases in food demand, allocation of scarce PL 480 resources should take account of what steps a country is taking in population control as well as food production. In these sensitive relations, however, it is important in style as well as substance to avoid the appearance of coercion.”

“Mandatory programs may be needed and we should be considering these possibilities now,” the document continued, adding, “Would food be considered an instrument of national power? ... Is the U.S. prepared to accept food rationing to help people who can't/won't control their population growth?

Look at the threats to our health in our food here right now ..Some of this is due to this "accidentally on purpose" game.Like the lack of inspections due to the de-funding of the FDA?USDA etc.,Then rampant greed of corporations ,and of course outright criminality, yet it is tolerated, even scuttled out of public view and the information about what is going on with our food is even sometimes repressed. Why? Control the world's food supply you control the world.
This barely scrapes the surface...We are being slowly murdered by the lifestyle we are accustomed to.And there is profits in misery, sickness and problems.

1. That is why it's more important than ever to get to know where your food comes from
Sign up with a CSA, get to know the farmers at your local farmer's market. Get to know small farmers in your area. Patronize local food. Grow your own food, it's really not that hard.

2. You Omitted
Denial of access to routine and preventative health care.

I know some folks who are very well off financially who are denied meaningful access to such care. They cannot obtain health insurance because of a pre-existing condition (which currently requires no medication) and the helath care providers in their area of the country have refused routine care to the uninsured. Seems money can't buy everything.

This one was just on the food issue.

Healthcare issues will come another day,OK?

I'm quite disgusted and pissed off about so much, but have no outlet but posting about it.

Anyways what people refuse to get is, Organic and local produce will not save you from contamination. Because the earth itself is FULL of contaminants, in the soil, the air, the water. If it is grown or raised on Earth it carries the same toxic shit we already inhale ,eat and are exposed to .

http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/mercury/section5.htm

When contaminants are injested one way or another, the toxins accumulates inside animals tissues, concentrating the toxins more and more as it is passed right on up the food chain, and it will regardless of labels and promises, continue until our body burden breaks and it manifests as "sickness".

We are, becoming sick from VERY slow poisoning.
Babies in the womb now carry a body burden before they are BORN.Mercury,PCB's..

http://www.ourstolenfuture.org/newscience/oncompounds/bodyburden/2003-0131-CDC-bodyburden.htm

Organic labels buying local and such will not save you from the toxic environment we and whatever we eat inhabit.

7. I Agree
and I share your outrage regarding food contamination.

Health care is an issue for me. I have little respect for the medical industry, less for the insurance comapnies and still less for the regulators who have allowed the insurance companies to create rating schemes that effectively prohibit access to health care for many.

15. health care
and food contamination issues go hand in hand sometimes. It's enough to make you sick, literally.

For instance:

The Breast Cancer Profiteers

While Rhone Poulenc Rorer's pharmaceutical division churns out docetaxel (Taxotere), a breast cancer treatment drug, material safety data sheets reveal that 56 of the 91 crop protection products on the company's website "contain ingredients that are probable or suspected carcinogens."

Also the world leader in 1998 agrochemical sales, at $4.15 billion, Novartis makes the pamidronate compounds used to treat bone metastases in breast cancer patients. On one web page, this multinational boasts that "Novartis intends to lead the fight against cancer by introducing therapies that battle the disease and alleviate the patients' suffering." Another page boasts, "Novartis Crop Protection is the leader in fungicides."

Eli Lilly and Co. sells millions worth of raloxifene (Evista) to treat breast cancer, but a cash cow for Elanco, Lilly's animal health division, is the cattle hormone Rumentin. Eating hormone-treated meat is suspected to alter estrogen levels, which may contribute to cancer risk. And Elanco manufactured pesticides under Eli Lilly until 1997, when DowElanco, the progeny of its marriage to Dow Chemical Co., became a separate entity.

http://www.greens.org/s-r/20/20-05.html

They make the chemicals, they run the treatment centers, and they're still looking for "the cure" — no wonder they won't tell you about breast cancer prevention.

8. True but
the individual I am referring to is self-employed in an endeavor that requires him to work 12 to 16 hours a day seven days a week. The endeavor does not generate enough income to secure a regular employee and much of what is done is proprietary - though the fellow does from time to time secure part-time assistance. The family does get several weeks off every 18 to 24 months. Travel abroad might be an option for routine care every couple of years but it does not address their need for meaningful access to health care. And it completely fails to address the same need for those who are less fortunate.

11. denial
doesn't erase the fact this planet is contaminated by the chemical, drug, and agribusiness, industries and military, and that it is in the food supply and inside us.
Call it conspiracy if that makes you feel better, but relabeling a sick political reality concerning our food will not erase the fact we are slowly being poisoned by our"consumer" culture and the pollutants it creates, are making us sick,...and the toxins that surround us are never going to be cleaned up by the pigs who made it, profit from it,because they are profiting and they not held accountable for what they do to the environment or people,really...

12. Uh what I put up isn't a bunch of speculation
It is connecting facts separated by walls that exist only in some people's minds, like yours.
If what I write makes you uncomfortable maybe you need to broaden your perceptions and stop clinging to the"mainstream" media which is owned by a few asshole, wealthy right wing people..The "mainstream" omits very important news in favor of stupid shit like what the movie stars are up to and propaganda..
Conspiracy has been around since there have been empires and political power hun. What I wrote was exposing the reality of the dirty politics and back room deals that get done whether you see it or not, like usual.

Paradigm Shift: When anomalies or inconsistencies arise within a given paradigm and present problems that we are unable to solve within a given paradigm, our view of reality must change, as must the way we perceive, think, and value the world. We must take on new assumptions and expectations that will transform our theories, traditions, rules, and standards of practice. We must create a new paradigm in which we are able to solve the unsolvable problems of the old paradigm.

Paradigm Addiction: What occurs when a paradigm and its most ardent supporters are addicted to the paradigm to the point where they lose the realization that they are even in a paradigm at all? Ardent paradigm supporters have equated paradigm survival with their own personal survival, and will manipulate and control a society in order to prevent any social or cultural advancement out of the existing paradigm, ignoring or suppressing public knowledge of anomalies, equating perception of anomalies to "personal abnormality" in order to intimidate populations to remain within the status quo control paradigm. Addiction to a paradigm results in either paradigm death or death of those who maintain the paradigm.

14. Ok my bad,sorry
I am so used to knee jerk critics on here who call everything that isn't mainstream associated press a conspiracy theory to make me seem like I am not making sense and I guess I am just reacting, I jumped the shark on ya,I am so,sorry.

I have checked out above top secret. I look around there once in awhile.Sometimes they have very good leads and observations that in time end up becoming news, sometimes not, but regardless it is interesting to read the stuff there.I have it bookmarked and always approach things with an open mind, endless curiosity and when required a grain of salt until I am convinced otherwise.I change paradigms and often I throw them out because I ask why, and pursue something I want to understand until *I* am satisfied with the answers. Some people get threatened by that. Glad you aren't one of those people, again I apologize.
