So, if Roe v. Wade is overturned what will the pseudo religious hucksters &...
flim-flam men do?

What will be the next fund-raising tool?

It won't be pretty.

How can we legislate the profit motive out of being a fake minister?

That seems like good thing to do.

But what do I know? I just want to progress rather than regress. I'm loony that way.

1. They just focus extra hard on gay-hating. And be in invited to the White House
for outreach.

3. They'll start pushing for Draconian anti abortion laws in the states
including severe penalties for any woman who leaves that state to get an abortion for any reason.

Trust me, they don't want their last slaves to escape.

11. "their last slaves"
So true.

I recently re-read The Handmaid's Tale. It was much more frightening now, than when I first read it years ago.

8. Oh the gay bashing will continue apace I'm sure
But I wonder - what prompted you to consider a scenario where abortion rights are in peril? Unless a couple of the sane justices die today and somehow Bush manages to convince a Dem senate into special session to confirm wackjobs, I think we're OK.

Oh and for anyone concerned, Rick Warren is giving a two minute prayer, not being nominated to the SCOTUS. Hard to see how it would cause much more angst the other way round, but just a reminder.

9. Are you kidding? There's LOADS of work to be done!!
The goal is to institute biblical law across the board.

First, there would be the huge task of opening all those homes for unwed mothers, the pursuit and squashing of those who aid and abet women in the criminal activity of procuring abortion. Lobbying for extensive prison terms or execution.

Setting up Evangelical indoctrination schools on a grand scale to accommodate unwanted children in tandem with the continued infiltration of the military. The ultimate goal being the creation of God's army, along with lots of bodies to sell into slavery/indentured servitude on the home front.

The shunning of science in favor of creationist, godly teachings.

Lobbying for the re- criminalization of homosexuality and "sexual perversion" of the hetero kind.

Gosh, that's just for starters. The list is endless.

10. we've started with possible caps on CEO salaries
Let's implement the SAME regarding these megachurch carpetbaggers.

After all, if they truly want to emulate Christ, they don't NEED the luxury limos, or the rolexes, or the big houses filled with antiques, right?

Give them a scratchy wool robe, some sandals and point out the nearest cave to dwell in.... Then use the money they would have wasted on themselves to feed the poor, and educate the poor for better jobs, etc.
