3. Oh shit

I work in Richmond. In fact, I work in the area of the crime. I have been on vacation, gonna see what my coworkers know about the crime. I think Richmond is ranked th 5th most dangerous city in America. In all honesty, as a male, I have never felt unsafe in that city. Oakland is a whole other story. I am hopefull that they find the suspects.

4. hate crimes in Michigan are on the rise and a daily occurence

The FBI has released a report showing Michigan had a 4% increase in hate crimes targeted at victims because of their sexual orientation in 2007.

The state had 627 reported incidents, according to the report. Of those, 73 were targeted at victims because of their perceived sexual orientation.

Triangle Foundation reported an even higher number of incidents targeted at gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender (GLBT) victims in the state at 298.

According to Melissa Pope, the director of victim services for the Detroit-based gay-rights organization Triangle Foundation, hate crimes against the GLBT community are almost a daily occurrence.

5. That poor, poor woman!

I hope they catch those vile pigs as soon as possible and that they spend a good long time in prison receiving the same treatment they gave her. I also hope they haven't left her with HIV to deal with along with the psychological damage she'll endure for the rest of her life. The hatred of some is, and should be, totally incomprehensible to human beings.
