Does Iraqi law apply equally to everyone? |
|
They just executed Saddam's former VP for causing the deaths of 148 Shiite Iraqis.
Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have caused the deaths of thousands of Shiite Iraqis, not to mention Sunni Iraqis, etc., etc.
Does this mean Bush needs to bring a good team of defense lawyers the next time he pops in there for a surprise visit? Does James Baker speak Arabic?

2. I'd like to see Bush and Cheney tried by the same court |

The Iraqi court system seems to be quicker about things :-)
Besides, their defense would be MUCH more entertaining!

(to the Hague), the US has to ratify the treaty for the court. You haven't done so yet. I'm not sure whether that's because you're showing your disdain for any international law, on the grounds that the US shouldn't have to abide by laws and treaties, or whether it's an attempt to evade the war crimes trials, or..............who knows.
