How lucky do you feel?
Okay, I know we have some of the brightest minds here. I saw this video this morning and found it interesting. I am, however, too close to the problem to be objective.

Will you please watch and discuss?

4. After 28 seconds, I concluded he drinks way too much soda pop.
Lower right corner, just look at that! If he ingested any more caffeine he'd be doing his gloom'n'doom diatribe by hanging from the ceiling.

None of us needs to be terrorized by his wanking melodrama, even if it's true. We're still alive, we can make positive choices, and we can still live with some small shred of happiness -- even if it's inevitable and global warming really makes eggs fry on the sidewalk.

And that man with nice hair and glasses is not going to crush my soul with his depression-inducing blithering, I'm sorry.

6. Discussion
I guess some of us don't want to be depressed by the message, and that's understandable.
But ignoring the problem is certainly no solution.

Even more fascinating are the 8 segments of 'Arithmetic, Population, and Energy' by Dr. Albert Bartlett, physics mathematician at the U. of Colorado, Boulder.

And the Mencken philosophy presented in segment 7 (I think) that mankind's biggest failing is that they don't want to believe unpleasant truths, but will believe pleasant falsehoods.

7. In a world where we all die
I couldn't care less about "unpleasant truths".
In a world of problems, whatever this dude was trippin in was way too boring for me..
