Pat Robertson "Remarkably Pleased" With Obama, Gives Bush C-

In an interview with CNN's Suzanne Malveaux, conservative Pat Robertson said he was "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama. Not so for President Bush, who he blames for the economic crisis.

<snip>

MALVEAUX: Are you looking forward to an Obama administration? A change?

ROBERTSON: I am remarkably pleased with Obama. I had grave misgivings about him. But so help me, he's come in forcefully, intelligently. He's picked a middle of the road cabinet. And so far, if he continues down this course, he has the makings of a great president.

So, I'm very pleased so far.

6. Well, we can still HOPE for CHANGE from Obama
he never said what kind of change it would be and whether or not we would get to do anything more than "hope", so he really hasn't broken any campaign promises.

Heck, most of us were such fervent backers of his because the Palin/ McCain ticket scared the crap out of us. We weren't expecting Kucinich, but it would be nice to have a bone thrown our way now and then. At least as a small reward for all the effort and "hope".

5. I know that for some of us...
our knee-jerk reaction is 'if someone I have such contempt for is pleased, then it's got to be bad news'. However, I truly believe that the crisis that we face right now is so serious that even people like Robertson realize that if this boat sinks, they will drown right along with the rest of us. I bet donations to the 700 club are not what they used to be.

Consequently, he may actually be looking for a life boat, just like the rest of us, and is willing to at least dial down some of the hate long enough to see if we can make it to dry land.

12. Or you could be read the comment literally and just assume that he likes his cabinet picks
because they're conservative. Which they are, perhaps with the exception of the labor secretary.

7. I'm pissed about the Warren thing
but at the same time, Republicans were also saying "Oh, we LOVE that Clinton is going to be SOS" too, and I took that more as a sign of them wanting to fuck with us.

8. Of course he's f*cking with the Dems. He knows his "endorsement"
would be like a lead weight around Obama's neck with the folks on the left that are angry now.

Pat may be crazy but he isn't stupid. And he also knows that if this economy goes too much worse, the poor fools going without health insurance so that they can send him all of their money won't have anything to give him at all.

Well, who cares what he thinks? I mean, Obama won! What else could this devoid of ethics circus clown do but turn to the winning side? No one asked for his approval and so let him bestow it with all the reverence he can muster. Who falls for his act....that you care about?
