He said Warren removed the anti-gay stuff from his website. He did, but that's only because they're rewriting it and it'll be back in a superficially more palatable form. This isn't a guess, someone from the church confirmed that the anti-gay stuff will be back. It was an obscure bit of information that emerged yesterday so I guess I don't mind that much that Malloy didn't catch it. But it'd be nice if he'd make a correction once the anti-gay stuff goes back up. And Warren also put out that video with more anti-gay statements yesterday.

I don't know why Malloy puts so much weight in Melissa's opinion. Why not Rachel Maddow, a Rhodes Scholar schooled in politics, and all the gay rights groups who condemn the Warren pick? Melissa's just an egotistical celebrity who thinks being famous as a singer means she gets to speak for the gay community.

177. I'll tell you something me and all of my friends were raised in the Roman Catholic tradition

and NONE of us practice the faith anymore. Why? Because of the anti-gay, anti-women bullshit that comes out of the Vatican. I've given up on God and religion completely as has Peter, who went to Catholic school with me and whom I've known longer than anybody other than my immediate family. One of my best friends is torn and I don't think will ever stop considering herself a Catholic although she's reluctant to pass on the baggage to her kids. Her sister, who is also one of my best friends, embraces a more Buddist approach to spirituality.
