Just a general reminder as usual, exercise is good for you |
|
and you can and should find time for it
No, don't make it a new year's resolution
Make this a lifestyle change
That is all

|
and I've gone from my god had to drag myself to heck... now I no longer drag myself
I take the slow release and will try semi empty tummy, on top of everything some of my meds have funny side effects, so have to take something for heartburn too.
Overall healthy though and have LOST one med already

13. I take the iron tablets daily but they don't seem to do much |
|
when they say one is 100% of daily needs and I take three and still fail the test......well......a blood guy told me I should take them with orange juice for faster absorption

2. I used to exercise almost compulsively...but I must admit that I have not |
|
been exercising at all lately. Even my son tells me that I must get some exercise. I have too many excuses...including just plain laziness..
Excellent advice. I would like to take it....

3. A friendly suggestion: find something fun. |
|
Exercise doesn't have to be drudgery... there are lots of ways to get your heart pumping.
Find something you can enjoy, and it'll be easier to stick with.

I did Cross Country in high school and thus running became really boring such that I kind of dread to do it now. I'm considering perhaps picking up yoga.

12. That sounds like fun... will start doing my fencing cross training soon |
|
I loved it back in the day
But serious, just adding steps can do a world of difference. Yes I know, in the winter you WANT the closest spot to warm door you can find, trust me Identify with that

9. Hey I just walk longer during the day |
|
and I enjoy my gazelle in front of the T'V.
I just started walling things like parking further from the door at the market, biking to the coffee shop when weather permits, things like that will make a difference
Oh and I know, gone from 60 pounds heavier, and a certified couch potato that could barely do six minutes on the gazelle, or ran out of air chasing nephews, to now back to twenty on the gazelle and walking as much as I can during the day.
I use a pedometer from time to time to make sure I still keep to my 10K steps a day

I got a stationary bike and found out it's not for me.
Those little things (like walking more) really do add up. :hi:
