How a Beverly Hills doctor powered his SUV using his patients' liposuction fat.
Edited on Wed Dec-24-08 03:09 PM by Are_grits_groceries
Liposuctioning unwanted blubber out of pampered Los Angelenos may not seem like a dream job, but it has its perks. Free fuel is one of them.

For a time, Beverly Hills doctor Craig Alan Bittner turned the fat he removed from patients into biodiesel that fueled his Ford SUV and his girlfriend's Lincoln Navigator.

Love handles can power a car? Frighteningly, yes. Fat--whether animal or vegetable--contains triglycerides that can be extracted and turned into diesel.

There are sooo many inappropriate things I won't say.

Go Green!!

Edited on Wed Dec-24-08 04:59 PM by backscatter712
You can make biofuel out of it, you can make soap out of it, you can make nitroglycerin...

I still say soap's the best use - it's the creamiest fat in existence, so make it into those little high-end department store soaps, and sell rich people their own asses back to them.

14. I'm calling bullshit. The diesel powered Navi doesnt get released until 2010.
And you can't run bio in a gas powered vehicle.

The other might be possible, Ford did make a diesel Excursion.

35. Yeah, but if you wanted a giant diesel SUV, you could get a Excursion or a Dodge or GM model.
It seems kinda unlikely somebody'd go to the trouble of getting a Navi's guts rearranged when they could just buy a loaded diesel Suburban right off the lot.
