when I was a kid and my hometown Newspaper used to do "Santa Trackings" and I couldn't wait for the next day delivery to check it out...
Now that I'm older, I realize it was a great way to keep parents buying subscription to newspaper...but it hooked me on reading "NEWS"...so I'll forgive them for that. It was a "good thing" (as the convicted criminal Martha Stewart was fond of saying).
I love those Santa Trackings...I don't know if in this cynical world many kids can still believe in fantasy. But, I hope some do. Without some stretching of imagination we would become very dull folks even if it isn't "scientific." There still needs to be some sense of wonder about our world and what's in it and in many ways that "sense of wonder and fantasy" leads to scientific breakthroughs because of "imagination." Although, I realize that many, many here and out there would disagree totally with me on this...
