Bits and Pieces from the year past --- Let Cheney Health Care be the National Example

The National Nurses Organizing Committee ran an ad calling for
"Cheney Care" for all Americans.

In the ad the nurses counted the four heart attacks Cheney survived, quadruple bypass surgery, an implanted defibrillator, angioplasty, and emergency procedures to treat irregular heartbeat.

All this medical treatment costs Cheney little if anything out of his own vast and full pocket, there is no pre-screening for pre-existing conditions, there is no denying of care by profit hungry insurance companies for anything they call "experimental care" either.

Here is the ad as it ran.

I am so ready to envision health care coverage just like that for all Americans at
government cost.
I do not want to have that kind of "socialized medicine" reserved for just those people who are opposed to big government.
