The Life and Times of Harvey Milk |
|
I just watched this after having seen Milk on its opening day. Milk did not butcher the story but the documentary filled it in quite a bit. See Milk please. See the documentary if you want, but see Milk. Show it to your family and friends. Heck, give a ticket to the film to a stranger! I hope that Sean Penn wins best actor because it will be shown all the more (that, and he channeled Harvey, he really did!).
I am straight (well maybe a little bisexual, but that's neither here nor there), but you tell me what to do and where to be and I will do it and I will be there. I will fight with my brothers and sisters. The fight didn't start with Harvey Milk and it sure as hell isn't ending with Prop 8 or any of the other heinous things the evil "moral" slime did. They will lose in the end and I want to be a part of that loss. I want them pushed so far back under that rock they crawled out from under, they will never find their way out again.

1. I rented this from Netflix over the summer. |

It was so impressive that I told, not asked, my husband to see it. I kept asking him, "Have you watched it yet? Have you watched it yet?"
After he did, he could not stop talking about it. He was as moved as I was.
I will see Milk ASAP.
