Harry Reid on Ted Stevens' indictment on corruption and bribery charges: "He's presumed innocent."
From a July 28th CBS news article:

Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said, "I have served with Sen. Stevens my entire congressional career. It's a sad day for him, us, but you know I believe in the American system of justice and he's presumed innocent."

Keep in mind that he said this after Stevens was indicted, something that has yet to happen (and may never happen) in the Illinois case.

Just food for thought for those of you who still believe that Reid is not a two-faced jerk with a huge double-standard.

3. So is Harry
with those neat land deals and nepotism.

I hope this finishes off both his and Blagojevich's careers although I suspect they have more on the former.

4. But Harry Reid is such a strong leader and a fighter...
That's why he is thinking about not seating the new Senator from Illinois, as chosen by the Governor. I mean, who do you think could do a better job than Harry?? But the Senator from Alaska is presumed innocent?<sarcasm>

(the one that Rhoda burned up with excelsior)..Henry Jones , I think that was his real name..

His & Reid's voices are quite similar..and they even resemble each other..

5. I thought Stevens was actually convicted
and is now out on appeal? Harry Reid said that in July? That was five months ago. Why are we getting upset about it now?

6. Because he's behaving completely differently with the Blago case.
Reid has already convicted him, and he hasn't even been indicted yet.

11. I don't care one way or the other about Reid
However what he said is the truth. If you answered during voir dire that you though indictment equaled guilty you would not be allowed on a jury. We don't like Stevens but it is a moot point since he has been voted out of the Senate. Find some more constructive place for your rage- it's mostly unjustified. Suck it up!
