3. Are you selling it? Giving it as a gift? Is that the amt you donated? What's the deal? |
|
I hate cryptic posts. Also, think about blue caterpillers.

8. It's a suggestion to donate 20.08 to the campaign, I believe. |
|
You could also donate fifty seven bucks, to match Mrs. Edwards' age, I suppose.
Here's my practical opinion. If Mrs. Edwards' situation moved you, the appropriate thing isn't flowers, it's a donation in her name to the Cancer Society. If she moved you AND you support Senator Edwards for President, then toss some cash at him as well if you can spare it.
But that's just my opinion. Folks will differ...

10. you mean that you want contributions for John Edward's campaign for president |
|
as a show of support for Elizabeth Edwards?
I've been thinking about this . . . and other issues surrounding the announcement and their stated intention to carry on with the campaign. The appeal for donations to the campaign makes me uncomfortable because I don't know where there will be a separation from the sympathy she deserves and her husband deserves, and a presidential campaign which they said today isn't about them, but about the people and the issues. I don't know that there should be a separation.
I'm still thinking about it.

I am also sending strong and good thoughts their way for a successful outcome to this new problem they are facing. They are an inspiration for all.

13. I have a hunch that Elizabeth would want campaign donations... |
|
Whicj in turn would be a great benefit to Cancer research in the end (after John wins of course) See my earlier post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x475102

15. Character is revealed in times of trouble and stress ... John & Elizabeth have it. |
|
Elizabeth is smart, very pragmatic, and a 'rock' when it comes to what she believes in.
(The 'rock' reference I believe came from MSNBC's Howard Fineman).
After son Wade died in an auto accident, John and Elizabeth both rose to a higher level of commitment to doing what they could to make life better for others less fortunate. To helpoing their country.
And they went about it in a way that did not draw attention to themselves.
Compare what we know about John and Elizabeth Edwards to the other candidates, and you will find that they are exactly what you see. People who have been burned by other candidates in the past may continue to be skeptical, but those who have followed John & Elizabeth for years know the truth. WE would be incredibly lucky to have them in the White House.
